Hello. It’s a Week after Easter and things are really Good. Last week I spent Easter with family at my sisters house and I must say it was one of the better Easter Sunday’s I’ve had. My Sister Luly remodeled her house and added a pool that really came out nice. The weather couldn’t have been better and the food was amazing. My nephew Justin‘s wife’s family joined us and it was truly a special day. Even Leah, our German Shepard, made a cameo To the dislike of J, he’s territorial. 😂
The special part of it all was us all being together and especially my mom was there the whole time. Luly’s father in-law said the blessing which was really special also. The day ended and we all said our farewells and I went home. Then like a ton of bricks and out of nowhere my Depression hit me. It’s so hard to explain but if you suffer from Depression or any mental illness for that matter you know what I’m talking about. I Know I’m not alone and some people suffer quietly, like I did for so long, and even self-medicated with alcohol, drugs and sex. You know where that got me. That’s why I’m so blessed to have people to reach out to who really take the time to listen and care. I reached out to my sisters in a group text to let them know my current state of mind and to know I might be MIA awhile and not to worry as this too shall pass. Our mom is needing special attention these days and I try to help as much I can but as SELFISH as this may sound, My Sobriety comes first. They texted back for me to continue praying and ask God for Strength and Guidance which I did and within a week
my Demon had quit harassing me And I was at peace again. I didn’t turn to my Vices to numb my pain, I turned to God and he Delivered. Again. My Vision is Crystal Clear and I know where I‘m going. Life goes on. I always say this, I feel sad for people who have Lost Hope and have no one to turn to.
Believe me when I say this: You are not alone. God is always with you. You just have to talk to him in your prayers, like you’re talking to a friend. And you can always reach out to me. Thank You Lord
